SHEA has been established to assist businesses with safety, health and environmental issues using the experience, knowledge and competence gained in these specialist fields during twenty years of industrial management roles.
This practical experience is supported by Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health status (CMIOSH) and appropriate safety and environmental qualifications, including Associate Member of the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment status (AIEMA)
SHEA understands and appreciates that the demands of running a business can result in the importance of safety and environmental matters often being understood but not managed adequately.
SHEA also understands that it is often not practicable for a business to employ a person in a dedicated safety, health and environmental (SHE) role. What tends to happen is that somebody takes on the role in-house, or is appointed! Unfortunately, this well-intentioned person will generally not possess the necessary knowledge and/or experience to carry out anything other than basic duties.
From experience, SHEA recognises that accidents can and do happen and ensuring that the old adage of “prevention is better than cure” is practised effectively is not always that simple without sufficient, competent resources and an understanding of causes.
